WELCOME TO MIDAS!
Midas Saloon and Dinner House is a small, rustic bed and breakfast located in the historic mining town of Midas Nevada. Midas is located in the middle of Northern Nevada's Outback, surrounded by millions and millions of acres of open country where the Shoshone, Piute, and cowboys made their home. Stand on top of the bluffs and hear and see exactly what the native americans heard and saw a hundred years ago. Explore the old mine sites, the dug outs, and ancient camping grounds. Hike, ATV, fish, soak in the hot springs, photograph the land as it was long ago, breathe in the clear, clean air. We guarantee you won't think about the stress you're leaving behind.

Historic Midas Saloon, ca. 1958. There were originally three buildings on the site, most notably Primeaux's General Store, the first business to open in Midas. The store building was torn down in 1958, and the wood was used to construct the Midas Bar and Pack Station, which later became the Midas Saloon and Dinner House.
The wooden bar was made in the 1890's in New York, carried by ship around the Cape to San Francisco, where it was delivered to Golconda by wagon train. It was relocated to the Midas Bar and Pack Station in 1958.
